Meryl Rose: I was a flower girl in her wedding. It was hard to get to know her because she was so quiet and introverted in her nature. When I was little I spent many nights in her house on sleep-overs and babysat Lisa. Your mom was born shortly before I went to college. (as a matter of fact, your mom got my bedroom furniture because I was away). I think the funniest story that I remember was when she hosted her first seder for our family and a pregnant friend of hers came. Her matzo balls in the soup were so hard we had to use a knife to cut them and we all joked that it would put her friend in labor.yes, she did go into labor later that night! (after the seder) She was a wonderful lady, always gracious, warm and giving.
